Q: Is this Lip Balm Oxybenzone Free?
A: Yes it is! We use non-nano zinc oxide as the active ingredient in all our lip balms. That makes it a mineral sunblock instead of a chemical one. Nothing will penetrate your skin.
Q: Why Is a Mineral Lip Balm Better Than a Chemical One?
A: Chemical sunscreens are designed to enter into your skin instead of staying on top of it. This means all of those chemicals are inside your body. Researchers have found sunscreen chemicals in blood tests even after just one use. That’s a problem since many sunscreen chemicals are associated with hormone disruption. And since sunscreen is supposed to be used regularly, these ingredients can really build up in your system. But then there’s mineral sunscreen, which is designed to sit on top of your skin instead of penetrating into it. It doesn’t build up at all, which makes it a much safer (and just as effective) alternative.
Q: Is this an Organic Lip Balm?
A: It’s made with certified organic ingredients and is certified by NSF.
Q: Is this Lip Balm Water Resistant?
A: It sure is! But if you go for a swim or work up a sweat it’s a good idea to reapply.
Q: When Should I Reapply Lip Balm?
A: Our recommendation is to reapply after working up a sweat, going in the water, or staying in the sun for more than 80 minutes.
Q: Can My Kids Use This Lip Balm?
A: Of course. We never put anything in our products that we wouldn’t use on our own kids. And trust us: they’re going to LOVE the flavor.
Q: Is This A Good Lip Balm for Chapped Lips?
A: Yes. It uses naturally hydrating ingredients, which means it’ll restore moisture to your lips as it keeps the sun from drying you out more. The only exception is if you have any open wounds on your lips. Wait for those to heal before using our balm.
