The active ingredient in our face self tanner is DHA, a sugar derivative that gives the top layer of the skin a bronzed glow. Non-GMO and overflowing with plant-based goodness. Our face self tanner is formulated for specially for the needs of the face and is non-comedogenic, has a slightly lower amount of DHA, and doesn't contain coconut oil. For skin prone to breakouts, coconut oil can be too heavy, hence our removing it from our face self tanner formula. The face forumla also tends to feel a bit lighter than the body tanner. accidentally bought the face lotion instead of the all over lotion, so I just used it all over. I found it to be an ok product. A few things to consider. It is orange, almost neon orange. If you’re very pale, it’s even oranger. The color was less neon on my already tanned skin, but on places like my in er arms, legs, and torso, I looked very trumpy. Their “no orange” claim is totally bogus.
It does not fade evenly, it fades just as patchy as the alternatives. Bogus claim.
It is not transfer proof. There may be no dyes, but my bath tub, towels, and sheets are all orange from it wearing off. Another bogus claim.
The smell is an overwhelming coconut smell so you can’t smell the weird tanning smell at first, but as it wears off, you will start to smell like self tanner, for several days, through several showers. Yet another bogus claim.
It does last a really long time, I had to scrub the last remaining patches off with a bristle brush after 10 days.

I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong. I have used many self tanners before and I’ve never had an issue with splotchy and uneven application. I’m very fair with cool undertones and I look like I have an orangey flaky skin disorder, I’ve tried your brush, the sponge mitt and my fingers to apply. I haven’t tried the tiny sponge. I know I was exfoliated because I applied it a day after a facial.

It was underwhelming. The application was difficult, the scent is funky and because it's white in color, it's very had to see where you've applied it and end up finding missed spots the next day.
For reference, I am 61 years old with blonde hair and medium fair skin. I have found this lotion to leave a subtle and natural color to my face. If I apply it consecutive days, I can increase the color. It’s the closest to natural that I have ever found in a self tanner. It did not seem to darken my discoloration spots very much. I was very impressed and it’s a great addition to my summer makeup. It was not orange or streaky.
