The pink substance in the cream is actually a lubricant our bottle manufacturer used within our bottles called dimethylpolysiloxane. It is a silicone polymer with a wide variety of uses, from cosmetics to industrial lubrication. It is non-toxic and non-flammable.
When the bottles were manufactured, they used a lubricant in the airless insert within the bottle - this insert needs to be air tight in order for the bottle to work, so the intention here was for the silicone to help guide this piece down into the bottle. Unfortunately, this silicone based polymer had a slight pink tint to it and once our white cream was filled, the silicone transferred into the cream in the bottom which is why it shows up towards the end of the bottle.
