Prep your Skin
Start by exfoliating your skin. Use a loofah, exfoliating pad, or a body scrub to gently get rid of dead skin cells – our self tanning application kit will give you all the tools you need for a perfect tan. This will help make sure your tan last as long as possible. Give your feet, ankles, wrists and elbows a little moisturizing love beforehand to help make sure they don’t end up darker than your body (these are extra porous areas).
PRO TIP: wait a day or two after shaving before using our self tanner.
Apply
Apply a quarter-size amount of our clean-ingredient self tanner onto your mitt or applicator brush. Begin applying in sections, starting from your legs and work your way up. Use long, sweeping motions to ensure a streak-free application. Make sure to apply more lightly and blend well on your wrists, ankles, and hands. For your back, apply tanner with a back applicator or grab a friend to help.
Allow Tan to Develop
For best results, wait at least an hour with the tanner on your skin before showering, swimming, or doing any kind of aerobic exercise. After 6-8 hours, you'll see that beautiful tan develop. If you want to go darker, just reapply another coat after about an hour. Most people wait about 4-7 days before reapplying to maintain the perfect glow, but do what works for you. Apply lotion daily for longest lasting results.

How dark will this make me?
These tanners are buildable, meaning for most people, the first application will give you a light tan. If you desire a darker tan, simply reapply it again the following day and so on until you reach the desired color. Once you have the color you were after, simply reapply every 4-5 days to maintain the tan. Be sure to wait about 5-8 hours before going in water after applying for optimal results! 🌟
Which shade should I choose? Fair to Medium or Medium to Dark?
The Fair to Medium self tanners are perfect for people with pink or cool undertones, fair skin, or those looking for a very subtle tan. Not sure if this is you? You will likely want this formula if you burn easily, freckle, or see blue or purple tinted veins when you look at the underside of your wrist.
The Medium to Dark self tanners are perfect for those with neutral, olive, or warm undertones or people looking for a deeper tan. If you tan really easily or if your veins are greenish or invisible when you look at the underside of your wrist, this is likely the formula for you.

Are these self tanners water-proof?
For best results, we recommend no contact with water for several hours after applying the product. Water can dilute or wash off the tanner which will give you less striking results.
How long does the tan last?
We can’t pinpoint the exact number of days – that will vary based on your application method, skin type, and how often you reapply. Many of our customers who have left self tanner reviews report that their tan lasted 5-7 days.
How do I extend the life of my self tan?
