Use the smaller end of your roller for the skin around your eyes. Begin by placing your roller on the inner corner of your under eye. Roll outwards towards your ear. Face: Roll your cheekbones, lips, and chin using the same basic method as your forehead and eyes. Starting at the center of your face (next to your nose, in the center of your upper lip, or the center of your chin), roll outwards towards your ears. Jawline: Set your roller on the center of your chin, then roll upwards towards your cheekbones. Repeat from your chin’s underside towards your ears, then from the top of your neck down to your collarbones.

The lifespan of derma rollers vary depending on how often they’re used and how well they’re treated. A general rule of thumb is when their movement starts to get jerky, it’s time to replace. It’s also important to replace your roller if you drop it. Derma rolling is safe and painless when done with a well-tuned tool. Even a small fall can damage your roller, which in turn can damage your skin. Better to be safe than sorry!
Please don’t. Derma rollers are not intended for use on acne, cold sores, or any kind of open wound. Best case scenario it’s really, really uncomfortable. Worse case it puts you at risk for infection. Not worth it.
Most people see results within 4 – 8 rolling sessions. Some people see results as early as their first roll. Everyone’s body is a little different, so there’s no way to say for sure. We encourage anyone trying rolling to think of it as a marathon, not a sprint. Great results will come from consistent, regular use.
Not going to lie: we winced a little when we thought about that. Please don’t use a derma roller on freshly tweezed, waxed, or threaded skin. Your skin will be very tender, and you run the risk of having a painful reaction.
We recommend spending between 6 to 10 minutes each time you roll. Once you go over 10 minutes you run the risk of overdoing it.

Nothing to worry about. It’s very normal to experience some redness and tenderness after rolling. You shouldn’t feel any tenderness after 24 hours, and any redness should go away after 12 hours. It’s not a bad idea to roll at night so the redness is mostly gone by the time you wake up.
Yes, they are needles. No, they don’t hurt. Really. The goal is to start rolling very, very lightly, just gliding over your skin. As you get a little more comfortable with how your roller works you can use a little more pressure. If you notice it starts to hurt, it’s time to ease up.
We recommend sticking to 3 times a week. This gives your skin a chance to build up collagen and elastin between treatments — which is the whole point of derma rolling, after all. Spacing out your treatments also reduces the risk of rolling too much in the same area, which can lead to discomfort.
Derma rolling generally does not lead to bleeding. Every once in a while you may find a small spot of blood. This is perfectly normal. We recommend cleaning your derma roller between each use to make sure any small pricks don’t turn into infections.
Disinfect your derma roller by letting it soak in alcohol for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and get rolling!
