Gave as a gift to my wife and she is pleased with the brush.

I bought this brush for myself months ago and really liked it! My two granddaughters started to want to use my brush all the time because it did not pull their hair or hurt them. So this brush was for them and they love it. Everyday now they show me their beautifully brushed hair :)

I have tried countless hair brushes (from expensive salons to ones friend's swear by) and never have I had any great experience with them. So when I saw this brush, I was really skeptical. It was a lightening price, which made it more attractive for me to try. I know they stand behind there products and if it wasn't good I knew I could probably return it. It came as promised and was nicely packaged in a cellophane bag inside the mailing container. So far, so good. The brush looked like the bristles would be hard, but to my surprise they were very soft. I tried it on my hair and was pleasantly surprised at how great it was on my hair. It glided through my hair with no pulling or roughness. I am extremely happy with it and would definitely recommend it for all hair types and all ages. I have already ordered one for my daughter. This brush is great and worth every penney!!!

I've had the same hair brush for years and decided to get a new one. I was conflicted on what to get because although boar brushes make your hair smooth and silky, they aren't good for thicker hair. On the other hand, the standard bristle brushes are great for detangling hair, but don't leave your hair as smooth. This brush is a combination of both; the longer bristles allow for detangling thicker hair, and the slightly shorter boar bristles create that silky smooth feel. It won't suddenly make your hair as luscious and smooth as a model in a L'Oreal commercial, but there was a noticeable silkiness in my hair after using it.My only complaint is I think the bristles could have been a bit longer, because I'm finding that I have to press down more in order to get them to go all the way through my thick hair. Also, the bristles are mounted on a convex slope rather than flat like my old brush (see the pictures), so it's mainly just the bristles in the middle that are making contact with my hair. This means that less hair is going through the brush, and more strokes are needed to get through everything.Overall I'm very happy with this brush, minus the few caveats I mentioned. If you have extremely thick hair this may not be the brush for you considering the shorter bristles, but otherwise I highly recommend it.

My oh my do I ever love this brush. I've never used a brush with boar bristles before. I really think they made a difference. I have pretty coarse, very thick slightly wavy hair. I wanted to really test the brush before writing a review, so I put my hair straight into a messy bun (from the braid I normally sleep with it in), had it in a messy bun all day (including a couple redos), did a spin class with it in a messy bun (oh my), and then showered without brushing it. In the evening, after it had dried in my hair towel for awhile, I took my hair down and put almond oil in it as usual. Now with my regular brush, this would have been a pain to comb out. I would have had to section it, and work the ends for awhile before slowly moving up to get all the tangles out. This brush kicked ****. I think it took me about 5 mins to brush my hair, opposed to the 15-20 it would normally take me with my hair in that condition. So I love it.Despite it being the best hair brush I've ever used, I have some thoughts. I don't think it leaves anymore hair on my scalp than a regular brush -- I still pull out great big gobs of hair after I brush it. And it is a bit harder to clean than a regular brush, because of the bristles (a small price to pay!). Lastly, I noticed that some of the bristles fell out the first few times I cleaned it. Seemed to stop after a few days though.I've had the brush for a month and would not go back! Its sturdy and does (mostly) what it says it will.

Absolutely love this brush. I bought one that was similar at a big box store and just wasnt happy with it. The boar bristles were very sharp and it wouldhurt to brush mine and my sons hair. Not with this brush. Not only does it have a longer handle, but it has a bamboo look to it as well, which is much nicer then the cheap plastic one I have bought before. And this one does not hurt our heads when we brush our hair. We do have thinner hair but i have used it on mu niece who have very thick hair and she had not one complaint. My sister in law has actually said she will be buying one shortly. I also love how my hair doesn't froz out like it does with many other brushes I have used. Stays nice and smooth and shinny. My only complaint is I wish the brush handle was thicker to make it eaiser to hold on to, as I have arthritis and it is a little harder to hold when doing hair.

Pros: I have had this brush for just under a year now and I have to say I love it. The nylon pins help me get through my hair easier then a boar bristle only brush. I can't say for sure that it has improved my hair at all, but I do notice less static build up during these dry winter months compared to other brushes I have used in the past. The brush is just the right size to fit comfortably in my hand and I love the wood base.Cons: The black tips on the nylon bristles have worn/fallen off almost completely now which leaves the ends a bit sharp, not cutting but you will definitely notice it. Also it is a bit more of a pain to clean then some, and maintenance is time consuming. I tend to remove all the hair once a week and then every other week soak it for 10/15 min in a shampoo water mix keeping the wood out of the water to get the build up out of the bristles.Overall I think it is a well worth it brush and its cost compared to its lifespan is ok.

Why did it take me so long to find this brush? The Boar Bristle Hair Brush from Beauty by Earth is fabulous for hair that tangles and breaks. I honestly saw the difference the first time I ran the brush through my hair. It tamed the frizzies and made me feel smooth and polished. I have been using it awhile now and my hair has developed a shine that I am thinking (no scientist here) comes from brushing the oil from my scalp through the hair. Love this brush!

I am just loving my shiny, glossy hair! This brush is perfect for that finishing touch and polish to your hair style. It's meant to be a finishing brush so it needs to be used properly. The natural boat bristles excel at smoothing hair and distributing your scalp's natural oils, leaving your hair feeling luxe and soft.Keep in mind that this is not an all purpose brush! Do not use it on wet hair. It will snap your hair and give you split ends if used incorrectly. It is also not a detangler- you need to brush, detangle, and dry your hair first otherwise you risk damaging your hair. If used correctly this brush should last a lifetime and will get better with age. The oils will season the brush and the handle will patina nicely over time. You can clean it with shampoo if necessary but it's kind of like cast iron pans and untreated leather- you want to develop a patina to really benefit from this tool. I love that it's made with bamboo, which is eco friendly and sustainable. I try to buy bamboo when I can and I love that this was an option here. I received this as part of a promo so I could share my thoughts with you. :)

This brush is very sturdy but the bristles are soft. I have very fine long hair and like to use a real bristle brush to not only massage my scalp but to pull the natural oils through my hair to keep it shiny and healthy. Some real bristle brushes feel like I am using a plastic scrub brush on my hair. This brush makes me want to keep on brushing. Since the handle is made from bamboo, I know I can wash it, along with the bristles, and it will keep looking beautiful for a long time. It did come with a few smashed bristles but I can't tell when I brush my hair. My thin hair doesn't get caught in the bristles. It also works great to detangle my hair after I wake up in the morning. It slides effortlessly through and tames the messiness.

Using it everydayyyyy, keepin' my hair silky as heck. I don't want to use any brushes that aren't this one anymore. For real, the boar bristles make such a huge difference, and just feel so DANG GOOD, LORDY <3

I really like this brush! When I opened it I was slightly set back by the size of the hard bristles. They are much smalled than my other brush so I thought they would be weak. NOT at all! This brush is quite stong. I love that it has bristles. I have a regular bristle brush but it's a pain to use since I have to split my hair up in different sections for the bristles to get through all my hair. But this brush gets through my hair Nd saves lots of time

My hair constantly needs brushed. It's baby fine and I have a ton of it. It takes nothing to make it look messy which means I need a variety of hair tools. I have at least 5 hairbrushes I use regularly so I'm always in the market for a new one. I was fortunate enough to review this Boar Bristle Hair Brush by Beauty by Earth. The hairbrush has a smooth wooden handle which a rubber oval that has the bristles and tines. The brush glides smoothly though my hair without frizzing it. It's lightweight and not clunky so it's easy to use. My hair is shiner immediately after use. Though time, I can see this will be a huge benefit of the brush.This is a fantastic hair tool. I only gave it four stars because of the static after I used it. Each time it went through my hair, the ends of my hair stuck to the brush (and it isn't static electricity season).Overall, it's a good product and I would buy it again.

This is my first boar bristle brush. I can’t believe it took me so long to try one. I have insanely thick hair and this worked so well! It feels so nice on my scalp and does a great job smoothing my hair

I have extremely thick hair and always having issues with brushes ... This stopped today when I received my #BoarBrush ... It's lightweight looks nice and my scalp and hair love it .... It easily goes through my thick hair and I actually feel my hair getting softer since using it .... I definitely recommend it and will order more as back up ...

This boar bristle bamboo hair brush is one of the best purchases I've ever made in my entire life! I've been using a cheap plastic hair brush with the little ball tips for 10 years (never had long hair before that), but I'm so thankful that I finally splurged on something better. Those cheap plastic brushes break every couple months, either with the entire pad separating from the plastic piece, or the handle rubber pulling off entirely, but this thing appears to be built to last. This feels better in my hand (the real wood is a really nice touch), better on my scalp (the little ball ends of the longer pieces give a nice massaging feeling), and gives me much better results. Want to look like the star of a hair care commercial? This boar bristle brush is the best way to get there. (BTW, I don't use ANY product on my hair, but this thing helps give it a ton of body, awesome wave, and a really great all-around look!).

Have very long healthy hair and this helps me keep it healthy. The brush down to the scalp and through the long hair easily. Pictures added to show how easy it is.

The brush came in perfect condition with no damages and was exactly like the picture! I was skeptical about the boar bristle part of the brush instead of my normal "wet and dry" hairbrush but I fell completely in love with this brush!!! Also, this brush feels amazing on my scalp, does not pull my hair out, and can be used on wet hair as well. I definitely would buy this product over again if I had to! It also makes make hair look shinier after brushing my hair as well and does not make my hair go flat. The whole reason I purchased this brush is because I am converting to the "no poo" method so I needed a boar bristle brush to distribute my natural hair oils throughout my hair which this brush does AMAZINGLY. It will more then likely be the only brush I ever buy again because I am that in loveeeee with it!!! (I have used this brush so there is a little hair on it in the pictures!)

I have frizzy, poofy, curly hair. It is almost impossible to get a brush through my hair while wet without ripping out all of my hair. I took a shower and towel dried my hair then used the brush. It got all my knots out and the brush wasn’t filled with hair. A few, as expected, but just a couple. AND... it felt so good brushing my hair and scalp. I recommend this brush for sure. My son tried it and loved it so now I have to order another one for him. Mind you he’s 8 and hates his hair being brushed. That should tell you something. But this brush you will LOVE it!

This boar bristle brush is packed with value at this price! My last bush finally started to fall apart, and I didn't want to spend $100+ on a salon brush right before Christmas... I'm so happy that I chose this one! It's affordable and leaves my crazy, thick, frizzy, wavy, curly very long hair quite manageable and surprisingly smooth! I will be ordering two more for my teenaged daughters in the new year! If you're looking for a great hair brush that won't break the bank, please consider giving this a try!

This brush is really great. I wear my hair up all the time and when putting it up my other regular brushes just were not working well. They would tug at my hair or not smoothly allow it to be put up. I also have really fine hair so it's hard to find just the perfect brush for it. This boar bristle brush does not tangle my hair and leaves is silky smooth. Love it.

So far works great for the price. However, it is receiving only 4 stars because it did arrive with damaged bristles.Updated review: Absolutely wonderful customer service.
